BYOD to Drive Global Mobile Printing Market

Mobile printing is evolving a booming market largely driven by the increasing adoption of high-tech tablets and smart phone products among the employees and companies, according to a five-year forecasting report released by companiesandmarkets.com.

Focus on centralized printing environment is one major trend driving the global mobile printing market. Many organizations are focusing on building a centralized printing environment to reduce the cost associated with the installation of a large set of printers, overhead costs related to power and provide centralized access to employees by wireless devices such as smartphones.

Another major driving factors is the growing implementation of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) system, through which users can work at anywhere. A report by Garner predicts that half of all employers will require employees to provide their own devices for work purposes by 2017, according to the statement.

It is noted the key vendors in the mobile printing market are: Apple Inc., Canon Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP), Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Xerox Corp. Ltd. Other major vendors are: Breezy, Brother international, Cortado, Epson, Fuji Xerox, Google, Honeywell International, Konica Minolta, Kyocera Document Solutions, Lanier, Lexmark, PrinterOn, Ricoh and Zebra Technologies.

In addition, the report points out issues related to document security are key challenges that the market faces.
