Study Shows MPS Helps Business Digitalize

A recent study conducted by Quocirca, the European research and analysis company, found many organizations are struggling to integrate paper and digital information.

The study amongst 210 organizations revealed that 40% of organizations plan to increase their spending on workflow automation, and those using a managed print service (MPS) are most confident of their digitization initiatives.

The research found that organizations remain reliant on printing. 30% of organizations view printing as critical to their business processes – this rises to 73% for financial services, followed by 41% for the public sector.  72% of organizations indicated that they are planning to increase their digitization efforts, and many are using their MPS providers to support this transition.

It is found that only 29% of organizations believe they are effective or very effective at integrating paper and digital workflows. Only 9% of organizations not using MPS rated their ability to integrate paper and digital workflows as effective or very effective, this rose to 51% for those using MPS.  Quocirca expects this figure to climb over the next year as more organizations move further along their MPS journey and begin the implementation of document workflow tools and business process optimization.
