We Nailed It: G&G Cartridges Safe From Firmware Update

We Nailed It: G&G Cartridges safe from Firmware UpdateNinestar’s G&G brand was quick off the mark to announce its updated ink cartridges, that can be used to replace a range of HP products, were unaffected by the latest HP firmware upgrade released on December 1, 2020.

“We nailed it!” said a very pleased Ruby Wei, the Marketing Specialist for Ninestar G&G. “Our replacement cartridges for the HP 902, 903, 904, 905, 906XL, 907XL, 908XL, 909XL and the HP 952, 953, 954, 955, 956XL, 957XL, 958XL and 959XL series are all safe from the annoying updates that could have potentially impacted aftermarket supplies.”

HP sent out a warning on August 24 with an announcement on its website that a scheduled update would be released on December 1, 2020 that could impact the OEM’s customers.

Unismart for Firmware Upgrades

In response, Ninestar G&G working with sister company Apex worked tirelessly to ensure the update would not impact customers using their products.

“An immediate verification process run by G&G once again affirms its arduous R&D efforts paid off,” Wei told RT Media. “In short, HP’s latest firmware upgrade has not affected the updated version of G&G’s cartridges.

At the same time, G&G also prepared what it calls the “cutting-edge Unismart for Firmware Upgrades (UFU) solution” to manage recurring firmware upgrade issues. UFU, the cloud-based upgrade service system, enables G&G’s global distributors to achieve synchronous chip upgrades. “This time has been no exception,” said Wei. “The latest chip version has been uploaded to the cloud in real-time.”
