Queen Elizabeth died on September 8, 2022. Even though we all knew she could not live forever the world was stunned at her passing and billions watched the funeral events in the UK over many days. However, the death of the lesser-known SM Godwin took the printer and imaging supplies industry by surprise on September 7.

Godwin, who was a passionate advocate for quality and STMC standards, operated the largest MPS platform in Sri Lanka, was well known across the subcontinent, the Middle East and Africa, was only 57.

The former head of sales for Clover in Europe and the Middle East has joined Ninestar to open an office for them in Germany. Scott Odom’s experience along with the new office will help deliver stronger support for Ninestar’s partners in the region.

HP has agreed to set up a fund to compensate angry consumers in Europe. HP printers were unknowingly upgraded with firmware which limited their functionality when using third-party cartridges with non-HP chips. Consumers in Belgium, Italy, Spain and Portugal are eligible to receive compensation if they own, or owned, certain HP printers between September 1, 2016, and November 17, 2020.

  • Ninestar’s G&G brand has commissioned a Disney animator to tell an adventure and romance story about its penguin mascots in a short film.
  • RT Media’s Latin American partner Gustavo Molinatti has published the Spanish language edition of RT Imaging World magazine, fully dedicated to Static Control’s 35-year anniversary.
  • RT Media’s partner Dr Stanislav Malinskiy is celebrating 25 years of Business Inform with the Russian language edition of RT Imaging World magazine.
