Over 167,000 Fake Printing Supplies Seized in Nigeria

Security operatives in Nigeria confiscated over 167,000 illicit items branded as HP products, including ready for sale counterfeit cartridges, fake security labels, packaging, etc.

According to Nigeriatoday.ng, Experts from HP’s Anti-Counterfeiting and Fraud (ACF) program helped the office in identifying the seized items as counterfeit with key intelligence before and after the raids.

Moreover, there were approximately 12 million counterfeits and components seized with the support of HP for the last five years across EMEA. Over 4,500 audits and inspections (CPPAs and CDIs) of partners’ stocks or suspicious deliveries have been conducted by HP.

Furthermore, through the ACF program, HP’s customers and partners are educated to be vigilant against fake printing consumables.
