Acquisition to Fulfill Mobile Printing Ambition

A global leading provider of imaging solutions has acquired a British mobile e-commerce platform to enlarge its portfolio of digital services.

According to Canon, it has taken over Kite.ly, which specializes in personalized printing. With the establishment of this new partnership, Canon can offer a complete imaging ecosystem for customers via mobile apps and websites. It also reflects Canon’s ambitious strategies of realizing image printing through any devices.

Alberto Spinelli, the Senior Director of Digital Services in Canon Europe said, “Bringing Kite.ly into the Canon group of companies is our latest move to expand Canon’s digital services offering, by making mobile printing ubiquitous.”

Charlie Carpenter, the CEO and co-founder of Kite.ly stated, “We are excited to combine our innovative technology platform with Canon’s digital services portfolio to lead a new print era together.
