New Printers Promise Lower Costs

Despite the decrease in the use of paper, hard copy remains a valuable device for communication for all organizations in all segments.

Epson claims its new Workforce Pro printers improved the “monochromaticity of printed contents,” and are able to provide better cost performance than other laser mono printers.

According to Epson, its WorkForce Pro WF-M5694 multi-function and WorkForce Pro WF-M5194 single function monochrome printers will cost customers less money on monochrome printing, and according to the company, they are designed especially for small businesses and networked organizations.

The new Workforce printers can offer high-volume monochrome printing for networked groups without investing in office grade mono laser printers, and that can be achieved by integrating the technology of precision inkjet—PrecisionCore.

IT admin tools, security features and network configuration with built-in wired and wireless connectivity plus WiFi Direct, print from smartphones, tablets and the cloud are features comprised within the printers’ networking capability, all of which are necessary in the present working environment. In addition, secure PIN printing, user access control and Web configuration for better management on Epson’s new printers can protect printers’ connectivity.

Both Epson’s WorkForce Pro WF-M5194 single function monochrome printer and WorkForce Pro WF-M5694 multi-function monochrome printer are available now, and they are priced at US$209.99 and US$399.99 respectively. Despite the paperless trend, Epson’s WorkForce Pro printers could well be the affordable options small businesses is looking for.
