Ninestar G&G Starts Cartridge Recycling in Europe and USANinestar’s G&G supplies brand has taken up the challenge and started a recycling program in Europe and the USA.

The two biggest global markets for printing supplies have taken action respectively to mandate consumer products be environmentally friendly in moves that better preserve the planet. This has resulted in those providing aftermarket products to become more aware of the circular economy, to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The Ninestar G&G recycling program will provide consumers with a free, easy and environmentally responsible way to recycle their used and empty ink cartridges. Consumers will be encouraged to return their used ink cartridges to G&G Recycle Centers via a postage-paid envelope enclosed in the packaging of G&G cartridges.

“Do the letters of the G&G brand now stand for Going Green?” RT Media staff enquired. It brought a positive response.

“We want to play our part in addressing environmental issues,” said Jackie Zhang (pictured), the Vice General Manager of Ninestar Image. “Yes. That means Going Green. G&G is taking steps from the very beginning of the product cycle: the product design stage, which includes using more environmental compliant materials, reducing unnecessary packaging and improving product recycling systems.”

However, Zhang added that the environment is not a challenge G&G can tackle alone. “We want to do more for our planet. Going Green means the G&G Recycling Program is the essential strategy for us to engage with our suppliers, partners and consumers to help drive significant change.”

Since 2000, Ninestar has invested extensively in abilities to quickly bring to market the industry’s technologically advanced products. Today, Ninestar’s G&G-branded products are recognized around the world for their superior performance and reliability, and now their environmental benefits as well.
