LMI Solutions Buys out Global Printer Services

LMI Solutions (LMI), the Arizona-based R2 certified manufacturer, distributor and recycler of replacement toner cartridges, announced its acquisition of Global Printer Services (GPS), a manufacturer and distributor of premium quality remanufactured printers.

Headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, GPS manufactures ready-to-ship printer models. Plus, the company is largest remanufacturer of HP laser printers across the United States.

According to LMI, the acquisition meets increased customer demand for quality, affordability and sustainability. Customers can be able to take complete control of their fleet profitability by sourcing top quality remanufactured printer hardware and remanufactured print consumables directly from the manufacturer.

Regarding the acquisition, Gary Willert President & CEO of LMI Solutions, commented, “We’re joining the key capabilities of both companies to answer market demand and provide further products and services to better partner in our customers’ success. Global Printer Services brings a new depth of expertise and a service-focused team that will work in concert with us to convert our mutual strengths into profitability and sustainability opportunities for customers of both companies. I look forward to working with Bruce and the rest of the GPS team to further expand our ability to help our customers expand their business models.”

Bruce Andre, Founder & President of Global Printer Services, said, “LMI and GPS have operated as partners for years and we’re excited to expand the relationship with new MPS centric products and services. In looking at the printer marketplace, remanufactured printers are starting to follow the same evolution as remanufactured toner cartridges have for the past twenty years.  As our customers continue to grow their remanufactured printer business, it is great to have a partner, such as LMI, who has gone through a similar progression. We now have the combined strength and infrastructure of LMI and GPS to support the products and services we know dealers and distributors are seeking. It’s a true win-win for both companies, our mutual customers and our employees.”
