For fiscal 2026, Konica Minolta posted revenue of JPY 1.09 trillion (USD 6.86 billion), down 3.6% year-on-year. However, operating profit reached JPY 49.87 billion (USD 313.8 million), compared with a loss in the previous year. Net profit attributable to shareholders came to JPY 30.27 billion (USD 190.5 million), marking a historic return to profitability.

In the company’s Digital Workplace business, which includes office printing operations, annual revenue totaled JPY 610.5 billion (USD 3.86 billion), down 1.0% from a year earlier. Operating profit surged 165.2% year-on-year to JPY 37.06 billion (USD 233.2 million).

Konica Minolta said hardware sales were slightly affected by uneven global demand, although sales in Japan remained stable. Consumables revenue stayed resilient thanks to the company’s large installed printer base, with high-margin supplies continuing to support earnings.

Meanwhile, the Professional Print segment, including industrial printing operations, recorded annual revenue of JPY 255.21 billion (USD 1.61 billion), down 10.4% year-on-year. Operating profit improved to JPY 9.35 billion (USD 58.8 million), reversing losses from the previous fiscal year.

The company said industrial printing hardware sales were pressured by U.S. tariffs and delayed customer investments, but strong consumables demand and cost optimization measures helped restore profitability.

Looking ahead, Konica Minolta said it will continue focusing on its core printing business while expanding industrial growth initiatives. The company plans to strengthen AI-driven solutions in digital workplace services, accelerate industrial digitalization in professional printing, and expand semiconductor inspection production capacity as part of its long-term growth strategy while managing geopolitical and cost-related risks.
