HP Launches New Ink Advantage Series

HP held a conference on Monday morning announcing its latest printer technology with the new Ink Advantage series, which offers double the printing capacity at the same cost. Introducing the product was Jehad Abu Shakrah, Brand Manager for Imaging and Printing Systems Supplies & Media, Printing and Personal Systems, HP Middle East.

The new printing series displays all the same technologies and functions of previous printers, but with the new technology that employs a mechanism allowing the boosting of printing without compromising on the quality of printing or boosting the price of printers or cartridges. There are two new ink cartridge systems that are compatible with the Ink Advantage series, which have been introduces in the Middle East; the the HP 650 and HP 655. The HP 650 cartridges apply the regular two color system, but for those who are looking for a more vivid color scheme, the HP 655 cartridges work with a four color system, which doubles printing capacity. Original HP Ink cartridges, when used with the Deskjet Ink Advantage printers, can print up to 600 pages.

Further, Abu Shakra pointed out that many customers who go for ink cartridge refills suffer a loss in doing so. He stated that refills have a 15% overall chance of simply not working, and aside from this, greatly compromise printing quality. Furthermore, refills are prone to leakages and damage printers in the long run, and furthermore printing yield is decreased by 30%. Thus, the Ink Advantage system is designed to provide double the yield at the same cost, without the negative side-effects of refills. The series is designed to be used as home or small-business printers.

The series includes the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 and 3515 e-All-in-One printer, HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 and 5525 e-All-in-One printers, allowing wireless printing using mobile devices and smartphone, and the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4615 All-in-One and 4625 e-All-in-One printers, which allow users to print, scan, copy and fax, and save up to 40% on energy consumption with Scheduled On/Off. The printers are also equipped with AirPrint, allowing wireless and mobile printing from any Apple iOS device via a Wi-Fi network. Users simply have to make sure the device and printer are operating on the same network.
