Konica Minolta India Opens Digital Imaging Square

On June 28, 2013, Konica Minolta India (KMI) announced the opening of its first Digital Imaging Square (DIS) with an investment of USD $1 million at Cyber City of Gurgaon. KMI said the DIS covers an area of 5,777 square feet and will house the latest multifunction printers (MFPs) and production printers (PPs) for the corporate and commercial market sectors, respectively.

Mr. Tadahiko Sumitani, Managing Director of Konica Minolta India, claimed, “We are expecting to open a few more DIS centres in major metros in India in forthcoming years. This will help us explain our solutions to end-customers and our partners in a very convenient manner.”

Mr. Sumitani pointed out that India is one of the important markets for the company. Also, KMI aims to maintain its top position in the production printing field and expects to hit at least 25% of market share in the office environment in the next two years. ”We can do it by sharpening our focus on partner centric activities and enable them to meet customer expectations,” said Mr. Sumitani. “Since the start of our operation in September 2010, our focus has been on driving solutions.”
