Eric Zhang to Head up Ninestar Consumables Business Unit

China-based Ninestar has conducted an internal restructure that sees Eric Zhang (pictured) appointed as General Manager of the entire printing consumables business unit for the Group.

The promotion for Zhang comes quickly after his appointment as General Manager of Ninestar Image on October 13, 2020. As head of the entire consumables business unit, Zhang will also be responsible for Chinese domestic as well as international business.

Zhang will replace Jason Wang who will focus on the Group’s chip business as the General Manager of Apex Microelectronics and General Manager of Geehy Semiconductor. This business is enjoying unprecedented growth, not just in the imaging supplies industry but in many other unrelated industries as China becomes an international leader in the development and supply of microchips.

“I would like to thank Jason and other top management for their belief in me and this new position,” said Eric Zhang. “At Ninestar we encourage every employee not to put limits on their life, including their career. We all have the potential to achieve whatever we want.”

Zhang told RT Media’s David Gibbons (pictured), in an exclusive video interview that he has not put limits on his life. On June 22, 2021, Ninestar celebrated its “key of the door” 21st birthday and Zhang has been with the company for 19 of those years.

“For the past 19 years, I have worked in R&D, HR, sales, production management and supply chain management,” he said. “My experience helps me know this industry and gives me the confidence to attend to the needs of my customers in a timely manner.”
