Brother Establishes Third Technology Center in India
Brother Industries, Ltd. today announced that its subsidiary, Brother Machinery India Private Ltd., has established a new machine tool Technology Center in Pune, Maharashtra, which is its third Technology Center in India with a showroom. With this new facility, Brother now has six Technology Centers in Japan and 13 overseas.
The Technology Center will be used as a facility for marketing and technical support, showcasing, demonstrating machine tools, hosting various seminars, performing test processing, and conducting service support activities.
India, currently the world’s most populous country, is expected to continue experiencing both population growth and economic expansion, and thereby growth in demand for machine tools, particularly in the automotive and two-wheeler sectors. With the goal of strengthening after-sales service, technical support, and marketing for machine tools, Brother has previously established two Technology Centers and a local subsidiary to oversee the machinery business in India. Now, the third Technology Center in India has been opened in Pune, and with no bases in the western region of India, this will enable Brother to provide marketing and technical support closer to customers in the area. The showroom also displays five models of the SPEEDIO series compact machining centers (S700Bd1, S700Xd2, R450Xd1, M300Xd1-5AX, and H550Xd1), and is available to answer customer questions about part processing and for test processing requests. Customers may bring their own parts for test machining.
Moving forward, Brother will continue initiatives to demonstrate the high productivity and environmental performance of its machine tools to customers through various seminars and live demonstrations of machining and test cutting at the facility using actual machine tools. In parallel, the company will strengthen service support activities to establish a system that enables customers to use Brother products with peace of mind even after purchase and aim to further expand its business in India.
