Second Hot Potatoes Webinar Wraps Up with Positive Feedback

C-RT’s Hot Potatoes webinar was successfully conducted on January 26, 2023.  The one-hour online event attracted more than 120 registrants from the USA, Europe, India, China, Africa, and Latin America.

“It was good to get that feeling of connection again. So many of you joined the webinar and what was even more pleasing was to have your positive responses,” said David Gibbons, host of the Hot Potatoes webinar.

This year, the Hot Potatoes webinar dealt with the hot issue of the environment. Prior to the webinar, many had told C-RT that remanufactured printer cartridges are still not the demand from consumers who shop mainly on price. However, more than half of the registrants showed a keen interest in Deborah Hawkins’ insights. The German-based Keypoint Intelligence market analyst revealed the opportunities which exist while admitting the industry has some work to do.

Also, a big shout out to Graham Galliford (USA) and Samuel Liang (China) for their insights and valuable content.

“Everyone is aware of the environmental impacts of waste stream. It is just that some are more environmentally active than others,”said Galliford. During the webinar, he revealed a better understanding of how to access the closed-loop supply chain which is vital for the successful operation of each remanufacturer.

In responding to the criticism Chinese companies are confronting for their poor environmental credentials, Ninestar G&G sales and marketing manager Samuel Liang shared the efforts Ninestar has been making for the environment.

He revealed during the webinar that not all cartridge remanufacturers are necessarily the same, even in China.

“I also received a positive reaction as to how China, in part, has been responding to the demand for the environmentally friendly remanufactured cartridges solution,” Gibbons added.
