SCC Discusses Worldwide Remanufacturing Trends in Japan

Static Control Components and its exclusive Japanese distributor, Hara Trading Company, shared information on worldwide remanufacturing trends and legal updates at a seminar held by The Association of Japanese Cartridge Remanufacturers (AJCR). More than 50 remanufacturers participated in the event held in Nagoya, Japan.

Juan Carlos Bonell, Vice President of Distributor Sales at Static Control, discussed worldwide remanufacturing trends and provided an update on patent actions, including Canon’s recent victory in Korea regarding its OPC drum patents. Taka Emori, Director of Business Development at Hara Trading moderated the seminar and helped with the interpretation.

Emori commented, “Trade organizations like the AJCR are vital to the industry, as we can work together to focus on the benefits of genuine remanufacturing. These events are helpful so that we are all on the same page as far as where the industry has been, where it is going and how to expand our business.”

“These seminars help keep remanufacturers aware of the many legal actions taking place around the world,” added Bonell. “It reiterates our point that genuine remanufacturing is the only way for long-term success in this industry. We showcase how it is not worth the risk to your business to deal with clone cartridges.”

As reported previously, this is the second time for Bonell to serve as a guest presenter at an AJCR event in 2014.
