Raising Money Collecting Used Printer Cartridges

A conservation group in the middle of New York State has discovered you can earn good money collecting empty printer cartridges.

The Otsego County Conservation Association (OCCA) raised their first $1,000 very quickly from an E-waste recycling partnership with Community Bank of Cooperstown and Planet Green Recycle.

Darla Youngs, OCCA’s executive director, said, “We’re installing collection bins at both Community Bank locations in Cooperstown. People can drop off used inkjet cartridges and small electronics. We’ll send them to Planet Green Recycle and earn money to help support our work.”
