Epson to Increase Ink Tank Printers

In meeting the massive demand for Ink Tank printers, Epson expects to further expand its business in India by more than 20%, from about Rs 1,078 crore (US$157 million) in 2014-15 to Rs 1,300 crore (US $190 million) in 2016.

Epson launched its InkTank printers in India in 2011 and has now sold over one million devices there.

“We have brought down the cost of printing drastically with the technology. We have brought down the cost of printing by 80 per cent,” said N Sambamoorthy, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Epson.
