Online Retail Store Gets Seizure Order

U.S. Customs has issued a seizure and forfeiture order to a Californian online retail store for its alleged violation of Epson’s patent rights.

The ordered was issued to Taks Shing Yeung which sells inkjets, laser toners and other related printer and computer accessories online.

The products were denied entry for allegedly violating of General Exclusion Order (GEO) No. 337-TA-946, which was based on a complaint filed by for Epson Portland lnc., Epson America, lnc., Seiko Epson Corporation.

This is the sixth seizure and forfeiture order Customs has issued this year and the fourth based on the violation of GEO 337-946.
