New CEO for Xerox PARC

The December promotion shuffle has seen a director tapped to become the CEO of Xerox’s Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).

According to TonerNews, Tolga Kurtoglu, former director of the System Sciences Lab, has been appointed to the chief executive officer post, following the promotion of PARC’s former CEO Steve Hoover.

In his new role, Kurtoglu will continue to explore the hybrid world, building intelligence into machines, systems, and tools. In addition, Kurtoglu will supervise the new head of PARC’s System Sciences Lab.

Kurtoglu joined PARC in 2010 as a research scientist and area manager focused on automation for engineered systems. He was the director of PARC’s design and digital manufacturing unit before heading the System Sciences Lab.
