Leadership Changes at Canon
Canon has reported leadership changes in the USA which will take immediate effect.
Toyo Kuwamura is the new senior vice president and general manager for Canon U.S.A, while Yoshinori Shimono joins the company as senior vice president of Canon U.S.A in the finance and accounting division.
Kuwamura, who succeeds Junichi Yoshitake, has spent over 35 years in the office-imaging business since joining Canon Inc. in Tokyo in 1980. His career has seen him located in Japan, the United States and Canada, focusing on all areas of the business, from marketing, product planning, and sales administration. Kuwamura will retain his current position and responsibilities as president and CEO of Canon Solutions America (CSA).
Shimono, who joins Canon U.S.A. as a senior vice president of finance and accounting, succeeds Kunihiko Tedo. Shimono joined Canon Inc. in 1985, and was assigned to Canon Europe—based in The Netherlands—and Canon Europa in the U.K. More recently, he was general manager of finance and accounting for the Image Communications Products Operations at Canon Inc. Shimono will also assume the position of President of Canon Financial Services (CFS).
“Mr. Kuwamura brings tremendous experience in the business imaging market and through his proven leadership skills at CSA coupled with the position he is now assuming, I am confident he will continue to build a stronger position for Canon,” commented Joe Adachi, chairman and CEO of Canon U.S.A.
