Jadi Boosts its European Presence with Acquisition

The UK-based toner company, AQC, has been acquired by the Malaysian-based toner manufacturer, Jadi.

AQC Group (UK) Ltd will now serve as a sales and distribution center to promote and distribute Jadi Imaging Holdings’ products to customers in the European market.

According to the online Malaysian business news servivce, The Star, Jadi acquired the entire issued share capital of AQC for a total cash consideration of £310,000 (US $445,614) using internally generated funds.

Mr. K.S. Liew (Right) , the Executive Chairman and Group CEO of the JADI Group of Companies said, “JADI has completed the acquisition of 100 percent shareholdings in AQC, making it a fully-owned subsidiary of the Group.” He commented that he has a very good feeling for AQC’s team that share the same core values of integrity in running its business.

Liew named both Marcus Wingate (Left), a 24-year veteran in the toner industry and Chris Rouse, a 20-year technical engineer who is well-liked and respected by remanufacturers throughout Europe. Wingate’s in-depth knowledge of the toner industry and his experience in toner manufacturing, will create tremendous value for JADI Group of Companies and its customers.

As stated in a Bursa filing, “The board of directors of Jadi Imaging is of the opinion that the acquisition is in the best interest of the company as it would enable the company to expand and reinforce its market presence by getting closer to customers in Europe.”
