Samsung Eyes B2B Print Market

The South Korea-based electronics giant, Samsung, is promising voice recognition as part of its printing services to its business-to-business (B2B) customers.

Samsung Electronics Co. has unveiled its partnership with U.S.-based Nuance Communications Inc, a company specialized in voice recognition. Under the cooperation, Samsung will apply Nuance’s document imaging solution to its printers.

According to a 2015 report by IDC, Nuance has already grasped 58% market share in the global document and multifunctional printer imaging software market.

As reported by pulsenews.co.kr, Equitrac Office & Express is one of Nuance’s program offerings which allows users to get printouts from the nearest printer.  Another program, Auto Store automatically tracks and recognizes PDF files, pictures and scanned documents transmitted from smartphones to PCs to classify and store them. A third application, Safe Com can reduce printing costs by allowing only authentic users to use the program.
