How Will Remanufacturing Survive in North America?

“What’s Next?” RT Imaging Summit to be held in Las Vegas on May 29-30

The aftermarket printer cartridge industry—particularly in North America—has been under attack, and experienced huge changes.

Companies, publications and events, iconic with the growth of the industry over three decades have gone. Mergers and acquisitions have seen the number of aftermarket businesses in North America reduced by up to 75%. World Expo was canceled, Recharger Magazine has closed, patent infringing clones have been dumped on the market, consumers are using more smart devices and printing differently, and many OEMs have rigorously pursued remanufacturers on various fronts. Despite some saying the North American industry is in crisis, the global industry continues to be worth more than $80 billion, and some companies are investing millions into research and development for better toners, inks and components.

So, it is time for the aftermarket industry to stand up, speak up and listen. Attendees at a two day summit at the South Point Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30, 2014—in just 90 days—will hear answers to the question “What’s Next?”

Recycling Times Media expects hundreds to attend the 2-day summit to network, speak out on legal issues and trends that will impact their businesses, learn more about new products and what the OEMs are up to. An Open Microphone forum will be a feature of the summit to express fears, concerns, solutions and opportunities with the wider industry.

Speakers will be announced soon on “What’s Next?” summit topics which include:

• The Future is Color—And it has Arrived

• How do global and Nth American trends in inkjet and toner impact my business?

• Are the faster inkjet printers making an impact in the office sector?
