During the Bangkok field visit, the team interviewed Korntawat Teekatrakul, a third-generation leader of a family-owned business specializing in office equipment rental, supplies distribution, and maintenance services. His company serves educational institutions, government agencies, and small to medium enterprises throughout Thailand. He is a frequent participant at the RemaxWorld Expo, with extensive knowledge of the Chinese supplier market and experience partnering with companies abroad.

He stressed that Thai buyers place strong emphasis on products that deliver stable performance, easy operation, and dependable quality. Service capability is also a key factor in supplier selection — often as important as price. “Price is certainly part of the decision,” Korntawat said, “but it’s not the only factor. We prefer to build long-term partnerships with suppliers who can offer quality products and excellent service.”

One-stop Solutions Mean Greater Procurement Opportunities

When choosing suppliers, Korntawat emphasized the value of one-stop solutions — vendors who can provide a range of consumables and spare parts across multiple brands, including hard-to-find items. He explained that first orders are usually placed as small trial batches to verify product quality and service responsiveness. “Sometimes we even assemble components like OPC drums, wipers, and chips ourselves to lower import costs,” he added. This approach reflects a broader buyer priority: flexibility, cost-control, and reliable logistical and after-sales support.
