Epson hosted its annual new product launch in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao on April 21. RT Media was invited to report at the event, second year in a row.
At its Innovation Days, Epson introduced the Workforce Enterprise WF-C20590 InkTank MFP which features a high speed of 10,000 ppm black and white and 5,000 ppm color printing with a stable high resolution of 600 dpi *1200dpi.
The matching bulk ink tanks, with two black ink tanks in one set, has the capacity to sustain 100,000 pages. Its printouts, with excellent clearness, sharpness and color display, are adaptable to a variety of media. According to the OEM, the ink tanks allow the machine to meet diversified printing requirements.
Based on its brand new PrecisionCore array printhead technology, this new release boasts a maximum power consumption of 320W, only one tenth that of the laser printers in its class. The new technology allegedly produces close-to-perfect print quality and extremely high productivity.
Another highlight for enterprise use is the one-stop mobile office solution. The solution is composed of the portable WF-100 printer, DS-360W scanner and CB-1795F projector. All three devices are easy to carry and operate and compact in sizes. In a wifi-covered environment, a tablet will suffice for all operations.
Besides its brand new products and technologies, Epson has also expressed its continued optimism in the Chinese market.
According to the company, by the end of its fiscal year 2016, its InkTank printer has registered record sales of 3 million sets since its launch in China in 2012, increased by 50% from the fiscal year 2015. According to surveys conducted by Brand Asia, Epson has jumped up from No. 88 in 2015 to No. 49 in 2016, in the overall ranking in China market, demonstrating its ever-increasing brand influence.
This year, Epson aims to build up life and office ecosystems with its technology innovation. In the commercial use sector, aside from the inkjet printing segment, the OEM rolls out new products and solutions for enterprises, governments, imaging, advertising, manufacturing and financial industries, such as high-end micro spray pictorial photo and ad solution, drinks selling robotics, bicycle sharing and fuel-efficient car solutions. In the home use sector, Epson brings the 4K HB home theater, family Wechat printing and wristwatch life & health management solutions.
