Dell Unveils Printer Hub, MFPs, Workgroup Printer, Entry-Level Printer

Dell U.S. is rolling out new MFPs and single-function printers along with Dell Printer Hub. The new MFPs and printers, which feature cloud connectivity (including scan to and print from cloud sites such as Google Drive), consist of three MFPs, the E525w, and E514dw/E515dw; a workgroup printer for managed IT environments, the E310dw; and an entry-level printer, S2810dn.

Dell Printer Hub

All of the new MFPs and printers are A4 (print and scan on up to 8.5″x 14″), and feature the new Dell Printer Hub. Dell Printer Hub is a printer-software console integrating printer functions and cloud connectivity in a single interface, and is for simplifying printing tasks and maintenance. At the PC desktop, it provides:

One-click update of printer firmware and software.

One-click activation of personalized scan shortcuts.

One-click access to the Dell Document Hub cloud access solution.

Dell E525w MFP

The new flagship Dell Color Multifunction Printer E525w provides WiFi wireless connectivity, Ethernet network connectivity, USB port, print, copy, scan, and fax. And automatic document feeder. Dell rates print speed at up 18 ppm (black/color) and scan speed at up to 17 images per minute (black/color), and the MFP features the Dell Printer Hub for cloud connectivity. Also included are PCL 6, and PostScript 3 emulation print drivers, secure print release, and color scan to network folders, FTP sites, email, USB Host, application, and to PDF, TIFF, and JPEG file formats. Duplex printing is manual.

Dell E514dw/E515dw

The new E514dw and E515dw  black-and-white MFPs provide WiFI wireless connectivity, Ethernet network interface, USB port, print, scan, and copy. The E515dw adds fax. Dell rates the MFPs at up to 27 ppm. They’re also bundled with Dell Printer Easy Installer and feature the Dell Printer Hub, as well as automatic low-toner and software- and firmware-update alerts.

Dell S2810dn ‘Smart” Single-Function Workgroup Printer

Designed for small and mid-size workgroups within managed IT environments, the black-and-white Dell Smart Printer S2810dn printer provides security features, and automatic two-sided printing. With 1 GB of memory, Dell says the S2810dn Smart Printer can handle and process large and complex files, as well as Private/Public Mailbox Print and Proof Printing.

Other features include Secure Print release – users specify a PIN in the print driver and then enter the PIN at the printer’s control panel in order to release the job for printing (the LCD panel incorporates a 10-digit keypad). Dell rates the S2810dn at up to 35 ppm.

Dell E310dw Single-Function Printer

The new Dell E310dw single-function black-and-white printer is designed for micro and small businesses. It’s bundled with the Dell Printer Easy Installer, and includes WiFi wireless connectivity, Ethernet network connectivity, USB port, automatic duplex printing, and the Dell Printer Hub.

For mobile printing, it’s compatible with the Dell Document Hub app (for Android, iOS, Windows 8 and later), and supports AirPrint and Google Cloud Print. It’s also Mopria-certified for mobile printing.

The printer ships with a 700-page-yield black toner cartridge. A standard black toner cartridge yields up to 1,200 pages, and a high-yield black toner cartridge yields up to 12,000 pages.
