China’s Top 100 Innovators Listed

The highly respected Clarivate Analytics, part of the Thomson Reuters group, named Print-Rite in their inaugural report on China’s 100 most innovative enterprises.

Twenty-three industry groups were identified including internet, automotive and domestic appliances industries. Print-Rite was listed in the consumer goods segment.

“We had no idea we were on the list until today,” Print-Rite’s Founding Chairman Arnald Ho (pictured) told RT Media in an exclusive interview in Zhuhai, China. “When you consider other names included Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Midea, Gree and Haier, we are very fortunate to be included on the list.”

Clarivate claims to have conducted a rigorous analysis based on “four main criteria such as patent volume, patent-grant success rate, invention influence (as evidenced by citations to an organization’s patents over the most recent five years) and global reach – essentially the number of inventions filed for protection in countries outside China versus the total volume for that period.”

“We have been investing heavily into our own patents for printing consumables for more than 10 years,” Ho said. “We have, on average, filed one patent every day in that time and now own more than 2,500 successful patents.”

Ho says that the recognition by Clarivate is a wonderful Christmas gift coming at the end of a glorious year where the company has celebrated 35 years in business—having been the first Aftermarket company in China with ribbons, then ink and toner technologies.

“This recognition gives us more impetus not only to just push our boundaries further but also to win the trust of our customers and OEMs whom we respect.  Our investment into R&D and consistently developing patented technology is our forte.”

Ho says he is confident that Print-Rite can continue to provide stakeholders with ‘hassle-free’ business opportunities. “It’s nice that an immensely respected, independent research company like Clarivate endorses that commitment.”
