Catalog Helps Diverse and Small Businesses to Prosper

Office Depot has released its 2016 Supplier Diversity Catalog, containing over 2,100 items including printer cartridges, paper, file folders, office chairs, desk accessories, school supplies and wireless speakers. Among those items, 1,200 products possess eco-attributes or eco-labels.

Office Depot was the first office supplier to launch such a catalog in 2009. This Supplier Diversity Catalog contains the whole products of Office Depot and can be accessed by the company’s Business Solutions Division (BSD) customers. The various suppliers of Office Depot include minority-, women-, disabled-, LGBT-, veteran-owned and small businesses.

The executive vice president of the business solutions division for Office Depot, Inc.—Steve Calkins expressed, “Office Depot is committed to the economic development of the communities in which we operate. The 2016 Supplier Diversity Catalog provides opportunities for diverse and small businesses to grow and prosper, and helps our customers succeed in their supplier diversity initiatives.”

The catalog also features new vendors, including one of the few woman-owned carpet companies in the US—Nance Industries, and a woman-owned business offering a wide selection of remanufactured ink and toner cartridges—VSM Imaging Supplies; meanwhile, small business success stories, a resource guide and new icons designed to show a product’s various features are also contained within this year’s catalog.
