Canon MAXIFY Business Inkjet Printers Receive Design Award

Canon Europe announced that its Canon MAXIFY MB5350 and MB5050 all-in-one business inkjet printers have received the Red Dot Design Award for Product Design 2015 from the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, a design institution based in Essen, Germany.

The Canon MAXIFY MB5350 and MB5050 were launched in 2014 as part of a new line of multifunction inkjet printers designed to support growing businesses. They use a unique combination of print head and paper feed system, developed specifically for the MAXIFY range, aimed to deliver a high level of speed and reliability in a compact design. The devices have a sleek and symmetrical aesthetic, making them versatile both visually and ergonomically.

The Red Dot Design Award for Product Design is a globally-renowned accolade recognising the pinnacle of technological innovation in everything from furniture to automobiles. The jury consists of 38 veteran design professionals, which this year included David Andersen, Professor Werner Aisslinger and Dato’ Professor Jimmy Choo OBE.

All of this year’s winning products, including the Canon MAXIFY MB5350 and MB5050, will be showcased at a special exhibit to be held from 30 June to 26 July 2015 at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.
