Canon Expands A3 imageFORCE Portfolio with C5100 and 6100

Canon U.S.A., Inc. has announced the addition of two new A3 multifunction printer series to its imageFORCE portfolio: the imageFORCE C5100 Series and the imageFORCE 6100 Series. These models are designed to meet a range of print speeds and functionalities for varied office environments.

The imageFORCE C5100 Series offers print speeds of up to 40, 50, 60, and 70 pages per minute (ppm) in both black-and-white and color. The imageFORCE 6100 Series provides speeds of up to 55, 60, and 70 ppm in black-and-white. According to Canon, these options are intended to address different business requirements, from small offices needing compact devices to larger enterprises with higher volume and security demands.

Both series include D2 Exposure Technology, which uses an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) as the light source rather than a traditional laser. This technology delivers print resolutions up to 4800 x 2400 dpi. Finishing capabilities have also been expanded; an Inner Finisher option is available across all speeds, and the external staple and booklet finisher now support corner and double stapling for up to 65 sheets, an increase from previous models.

Canon has highlighted sustainability aspects in these new devices. Approximately 30% of the resin material used in the C5100 and 6100 models is made from recycled plastic, compared to 2% in previous Canon office MFPs. Additionally, the company has replaced conventional foam packaging with cardboard packaging for the main units to facilitate easier recycling.

The new series are compatible with Canon’s optional uniFLOW Online and other workflow solutions, enabling enhanced document security and operational efficiency for organizations that integrate these features into their environments.
