Xerox Canada Names a New President

Al Varney is the new president and CEO of Xerox Canada Ltd., of Mississauga, Ont., replacing the outgoing Mandy Shapansky who announced her retirement effective in January 1, 2015.

Varney was the former vice president of marketing for Xerox Canada and is known as a channel advocate. He returns to Canada after five-years in the U.S. where he served as president of Xerox North American Agent Operations. He claimed, “I am excited to be back in Canada to continue Xerox’s growth in the market by working with clients on solutions that support them reaching their own business growth goals.”

As for Mandy Shapansky, she ran Xerox Canada for four years and brought a lot of profile for the document management vendor. She spent nearly three decades with Xerox Canada leading the subsidiary’s business process services growth in the country along with building up Xerox’s market leadership in document management technology.
