West Point to Sack 66 Employees

West Point Products, American manufacturer of replacement laser toner cartridges, announced it will lay off 66 employees because it plans to consolidate part of its Valley Grove operations into the company’s main site in Washington.

There are currently 100 employees at the Valley Grove facility and 150 employees work at the Washington facility.

Tom Day, president of West Point Products, said, “Our industry has been rapidly consolidating for several years resulting in an increasingly challenging market environment. This move will increase the efficiency of our manufacturing and distribution processes, and will enable us to maintain our offerings of high quality, competitively priced products to our customers. We regret the impact these moves will have on affected employees and their families and greatly appreciate the contribution of each employee and thank them for their years of dedicated service.”
