USITC Institutes 337 Investigation On HP’s Complaint

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has agreed to initiate a 337-TA-1011 investigation, based upon HP’s earlier complaint against Memjet.

On May 27, 2016, HP filed a complaint to the ITC alleging 25 Memjet-related companies infringed six of its U.S. patents on inkjet printers, printheads, ink cartridges, and components thereof, and requested the USITC to issue a general exclusion order, or a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.

The ITC has not made any final decision on the merits of the case at this stage.
