Turbon Acquires Embatex
Two iconic remanufacturing brands have joined forces in Europe.
RT Media’s Managing Director, Tony Lee, was personally contacted by Michael Pages, Managing Director of Turbon Europe GmbH. Pages told Lee that following two years of successful cooperation in R&D and production of remanufactured laser toner cartridges, Turbon AG has acquired 100% of the shares of Embatex AG.
According to a joint statement, Christian Wernhart (pictured), CEO of Embatex and Michael Pages will continue to operate the two companies separately and have their own sales teams in the market following the acquisition. Embatex will continue to focus on the MPS-compatible cartridges in the laser segment, while they will focus on the business inkjet printers and ink cartridges for franking machines in the inkjet segment. Also, Embatex’s ink cartridges will be available through the sales channels of the Turbon Group soon.
Wernhart will maintain his responsibilities and take charge of the operations of Embatex. Christian and Gabriela Wernhart, the former main shareholders of Embatex AG, will now holds shares in Turbon AG as well.
Turbon continues to be active with companies in Europe, America and Asia.
2015 has been a year of consolidation for the Aftermarket industry. Earlier, in May and July this year, respectively, RT Media reported exclusively on the merger of Apex and Static Control, and the acquisition of Cartridge World by SGT.
