Toner Recycling Initiative Raises Funds for Children’s Charity

A Bradford-based business has raised £10,200 (US$14953.2) for sick children through a toner recycling program.

As reported by TonerNews, OfficeXpress will donate the money to help refurbish areas of Leeds Children’s Hospital at the Leeds General Infirmary site, which treats patients mainly from across Yorkshire.

Sharon Evans, Fundraising Development Manager for the Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal, expressed his appreciation to the initiative, “A big thank you to OfficeXpress for their amazing donation, this will enable us to improve the hospital environment in some of our Paediatric Outpatient areas, creating a calming and family friendly atmosphere for our young patients and their families.”

Tim Beech, Managing Director of OfficeXpress, said the company will continue the fundraising initiative because it has “real meaning” to the whole team at OfficeXpress.

“We all have involvement with children; most of us have a connection with the local NHS facilities and we are all motivated to seek out recycled toners from our customers to help such a worthwhile cause. We are delighted that we can make such a positive impact on so many young lives that are touched by the great staff and volunteers at Leeds Children’s Hospital.”
