Three US Companies Issued Seizure Orders

Separate seizure and forfeiture Orders have been issued to three companies, all on the same day, for attempting to import inkjet cartridges that violate the same General Exclusion Order related to No. 337-TA-691 investigation.

U.S. Border authorities informed the USITC that “certain inkjet ink supplies and components” have been denied entry into the United States. The USITC upheld each of the three Orders respectively.

Copies of all three Seizure and Forfeiture Orders, dated on March 30, have been passed to RT Media. Two Florida-based companies, namely United Toner LLC and David & Yonathan Trade, as well as the California-based Revol Trading have allegedly violated the GEO related to No. 337-TA-691 investigation.

On September 23, 2009, Hewlett-Packard USA filed a lawsuit, claiming 11 companies infringed 4 of its U.S. patent Nos: 6,089,687; 6,264,301; 6,959,985, and 7,104,630. The USITC instituted an investigation on October 29, 2009 and issued a GEO on January 7, 2011.
