Epson Promises New Offerings Will Maximize Business Productivity

Epson America Inc. has expanded its lineup to incorporate monochrome printers for small, networked workgroups, promising dramatic savings against alternative options.

The new release includes Epson Workforce Pro WF-M5694 multifunction and Workforce Pro WF-M5194 single function monochrome printers. Powered by Epson’s next-generation PrecisionCore® technology, both models provide the lowest-cost monochrome printing in their class. Equipped with a 10,000-page cartridge yield and up to 580 sheets maximum paper capacity, these monochrome printers require little user intervention. They also come equipped with IT admin tools, including security features and network configuration.

The WorkForce Pro M5000-Series allows users to save money, and quickly produce professional-quality documents that can be printed at 20 ISO ppm. The monochrome printers support easy network setup and security features to provide seamless integration and administration into wired and wireless environments, via Universal drivers, PCL and PostScript®. They also include standard security-related features such as PIN-based confidential job release and user access control. Additionally, the WF-M5694 supports auto two-sided printing, copying, scanning, and faxing. Additional M5000-Series features include: security features, professional-quality results, built-in networking.

Larry Trevarthen, director, Business Imaging, Epson America, Inc. said, “By expanding Epson’s portfolio to incorporate monochrome printing solutions, we are able to provide a portfolio to resellers and IT managers to meet a full range of their office printing needs at an affordable operating cost. The WorkForce Pro monochrome printer family is another step in our commitment to provide businesses with printing alternatives that can provide dramatic savings against alternative options, including laser printers.”
