The Future of the Aftermarket – Exploring New Markets Globally

With the consolidation of the Aftermarket, top companies across the industry continue to search the global market for new ways to expand their businesses. OEMs such as Xerox, Kodak and Brother are forming partnerships with the Aftermarket industry to use non-infringing, reliable products to meet their market needs. All industry players, in general, are eager for information to help them make future decisions in this ever-changing landscape.

With less than two months to go, a “think tank” with 12 industry experts will provide answers to these questions at the annual RT Imaging Summit—Asia on 15-16 October, 2015 in Zhuhai, China.

Patrick Naude, owner of South African-based CMYK Industries, will share his insight on how companies can make use of market opportunities in South Africa. South Africa is one of the emerging BRICS regions which includes Brazil, Russia, India and China. IDC Asia/Pacific’s Research Manager, Pankaj Chawla, will also discuss the latest trends in the Asian Pacific market.

According to Giovanni Giusti, President of Doxense Europe, some OEMs are facing challenges to adapt in the new information age. He has stated that “when you understand that 2/3 of any MPS contract value is linked to consumables, you can easily conclude that these contracts are more favorable to OEMs and not to the customers”. Giusti will address this issue and also the relationship between OEMs and the Aftermarket both in competition and cooperation at the Summit.

Despite the legal wars between OEMs and the Aftermarket, patent attorney Dr Katja Dauster, will state why she is urging companies to be more careful when they are trading with Aftermarket products in the European market.

The RT Imaging Summit—Asia 2015 will be held on October 15-16, 2015 (the first and second day of the RemaxWorld Expo) in Zhuhai, China.
