Sharp Relocates U.S. Headquarters

Sharp Electronics has announced that it will relocate its U.S. headquarters to a smaller building in Montvale, New Jersey.

Sharp claims it has signed a 10-year lease for two floors at the Paragon Drive building in Montvale. The OEM is also seeking to renovate the space “extensively for updated technology.” The building will house Sharp’s U.S. copiers and professional-displays division, as well as its home appliance and consumer-electronics divisions.

Previously, Sharp also considered moving to the Pearl River area in New York. However, Sharp eventually decided to remain in New Jersey, due to appealing tax incentives.

According to North Jersey, Sharp’s current headquarters in northern New Jersey will be leased to automaker, Jaguar, for its U.S. headquarters.
