Samsung Unveils New Printers in South Africa

According to ITWeb, Samsung has rolled out two new printers, ProXpress M4020 and ProXpress M4070, for SMEs in South Africa.

Samsung says the monochrome laser printer ProXpress M4020 and multifunction printer ProXpress M4070 can print 40 pages per minute, with a resolution of 1200 x 600 optical dpi. The toner cartridge can yield as high as 15,000 pages. Samsung claims the high-yield cartridge can increase productivity and lower cost per page. Moreover, the environmentally friendly eco-driver can further reduce energy consumption by up to 20%, Samsung says.

The firm also notes that the new machines are equipped with Samsung’s web-based, open platform architecture, extensible open architecture (XOA Web), a 4.3-inch color touch-screen, 1GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB memory, and scan-to-cloud and security enhanced functions.

“Samsung has released XOA Web to expand the number of devices from low-end A4 laser printers to high-end A3 MFPs that are compatible with various B2B solutions,” says Mike van Lier, Business Unit Leader for enterprise business at Samsung South Africa, “We are continuously looking for opportunities to broaden the solution offering and the availability of products that support XOA. Samsung is, therefore, strengthening its position in business markets to assist enterprises, channel partners and independent software vendors to utilize, sell and develop customized solutions.”
