Ricoh Shake-Up Follows Axing

Ricoh USA is making new organizational changes and will transfer many of its direct-sales customers to Ricoh dealers.

According to wirthconsulting.org, Ricoh USA is making the changes to keep in line with it’s new global vision and structure. The company has intended to further utilize RFG (Ricoh Family Group) dealer network and transferred SMB customers to dealers in specific markets. Ricoh has created three unique business channels to make it easier for customers to do businesses with the company as well.

Those channels include the enterprise channel, the commercial and industrial printing (CIP) channel, and the small and mid-size business (SMB) channel. The three channels are devised for supporting large enterprise, global customers, graphic communications, cut-sheet, inkjet, wide format, public sector, software, small and mid-sized enterprises, etc.

This follows Ricoh Japan’s February’s announcement it was eliminating the position of CEO and chairman for Ricoh Americas. The new president and CEO for Ricoh is Yoshinori Yamashita.
