Ricoh Launches Two Products for Small Offices and Workgroups

Ricoh Americas Corporation unveiled two new black-and-white products designed to enhance the information mobility of small offices and workgroups.

The RICOH SP 4510SF multifunction product (MFP) with print, copy, fax and color scanning capabilities and the RICOH SP 4510DN black-and-white printer offer a host of features that make information work for organizations that employ both traditional and newer workstyles, such as mobile computing. The new devices also offer the lowest cost-per-page in their class.

The new 42-page-per-minute RICOH SP 4510SF and RICOH SP 4510DN employ Ricoh’s new LED imaging technology, which enables 1200-x-1200-dpi resolution printing without compromising rated speed. Combined with standard integrated duplexing, the new engine also helps keep the devices compact.

The RICOH SP 4510SF and RICOH SP 4510DN support standard and legal-size paper with a thickness of up to 90lb. Index and 43lb. Bond from every paper tray. They support sustainable business practices with ENERGY STAR 2.0 compliance and, in the case of the RICOH SP 4510DN, an ECO-Night Sensor that powers the device down when departing employees turn the lights off.

Both devices protect important information with the DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS), which destroys latent data stored on the hard disk drive after printing, as well as encryption of sensitive documents stored on the optional hard disk drive. They also offer optional proximity card authentication to release documents to their proper owner.

Mobile workers can download the RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan app to their smartphones and laptops, enabling seamless printing from those devices on the RICOH SP 4510SF and RICOH SP 4510DN. An optional connection to the RICOH Integrated Cloud Environment service equips the RICOH SP 4510SF MFP to leverage popular cloud-based services for document storage via the 4.3-inch touch panel. Users can print from or scan directly to apps like DocumentMall™, Evernote™, Dropbox™ or Google Drive™ without expensive on-site servers, system integration or software updates. The RICOH SP 4510SF MFP also includes optional embedded optical character recognition, which can convert scanned documents into searchable PDFs.
