Quill.com’s Collection Program Has Recycled Nearly 3 Million Cartridges

Quill.com, a U.S. office supplies provider for small-and medium-size businesses (SMBs), announced that it has recycled 2,982,856 pounds of used ink and toner cartridges since 2011, when it introduced a national Ink and Toner Recycle Program. As was revealed by the Clover Technologies Group, which handles the recycling and remanufacturing of cartridges, Quill.com has helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions annually in an amount equivalent to around 260 passenger cars.

We’ve transformed an otherwise neglected resource into sustainable products for our clients’ continued benefit, and we look forward to encouraging more green business practices for years to come.”

The Ink and Toner Recycle Program is one of the first recycling programs. to use a downloadable, pre-paid mailing label that enables customers to send used printer cartridges to Quill.com. The returned cartridges will either be remanufactured or disassembled and used in the production of other office products.

Moreover, participants are rewarded with a $2.00 QuillCash™ loyalty fee for every cartridge returned, which Quill.com deposits into the participant’s Quill.com account.
