Lexmark to Discuss Clones at Static Control’s Seminar in Poland

Static Control announced that Andrew Gardner, Lexmark’s Worldwide Brand Protection Manager, will deliver a speech on clone cartridges at its free Seminar to be held in Lodz, Poland at Andel’s Hotel Lodz on Friday, April 25.

Lexmark joins HP as the second OEM to recognize Static Control as a leader in the imaging aftermarket and a partner in the fight against counterfeit and clone cartridges, says Static Control. Also, Lexmark has a vested interest in Poland, as they manufacture toner cartridges in Zary, Poland.

In his presentation, Gardner plans to cover clones in detail, including the raids that occurred earlier this year at RemanExpo@Paperworld in Germany, where infringing MS Series cartridges were seized from exhibits.

“We are very excited to have Andrew Gardner at our kick-off seminar,” said Static Control Sales Director Ken Lalley. “We know the importance of intellectual property in this industry and have taken a strong stance against new build clones invading the aftermarket. We are delighted to have Andrew speak on behalf of Lexmark and share his expertise with our Polish customers.”

The Poland seminar is the first in a series of Static Control’s 22 information-intensive sessions to be held throughout Europe and Central and Western Asia during 2014. Each seminar targets the demands of a particular market and is tailored to suit local remanufacturers.
