Q4 and 2015 Financial Sustainability Performance Issued by Staples CanadaStaples Canada announced the performance report of its 2015 financial sustainability on April 18th, in which the diversion of 154,120 kilograms of batteries and 3,325,507 ink and toner cartridges from landfills and the collection of 4,140,463 kilograms of electronics and 142,188 writing instruments are included.

Through its “Driver Take Back Program”, Staples collected 442,353 ink cartridges. In Q4 2015, Staples reduced the emissions of CO2 by 3,844 metric tons.

Staples is dedicated to providing its customers with Copy & Print services and options that are environmentally responsible.  It uses Glatfelter NatureSolv™ (GN) for its in-house multi-part carbonless forms and carbonless printing. GN’s foundation is carbonless paper, and it employs natural organic solvents instead of stimulants such as formaldehyde and/or kerosene.

Staples has printed more than 1.4 million multi-part forms without carbon since 2013.
