Print-Rite Releases Compatible Chip in Response to Brother’s White Paper

Print-Rite has launched an updated compatible chip for use in Brother-II upgraded printers. Print-Rite claims it is the first compatible chip to display the required “Non-Brother Supply” message, conforming to demands in Brother’s White Paper.

In August 2015, Brother issued a White Paper through RT Media to Aftermarket industries, demanding messages be used in aftermarket chips for remanufactured and manufactured cartridges, so that customers could identify whether the cartridges installed in the printer is an OEM original or an Aftermarket supply.

Earlier in October 2013, HP also launched an industry White Paper on brand misidentification at RT Media’s RemaxWorld Expo & Summit in Zhuhai China.
