OEMs and Aftermarket Leaders Urged to Address Fraud and Counterfeiting Issues

“The imaging industry is in transition.” So says Allen Westerfield, former senior executive at Lexmark and currently President of the Imaging Supplies Coalition (ISC).

The “industry in transition” theme has been picked up as the call to attend the ISCs bi-annual conference, which will be held in San Diego, California on September 18 to 20, this year.

RT Media is a proud media supporter of this event which now attracts Aftermarket leaders as well as OEM brand leaders. While membership of the coalition is strictly available to OEMs only, Westerfield has told RT Media that Aftermarket leaders, concerned with brand protection issues that confront the imaging supplies industry, are welcome to particpate actively at the conference. ISC members include Brother, Canon, Epson, HP, Lexmark, Samsung and Xerox.

Popular speaker and former fellow senior Lexmark executive Giovanni Giusti (pictured) will keynote the conference. Giusti was instrumental in bringing Lexmark together with the Chinese consortium that recently acquired the iconic imaging brand.

“The imaging supplies industry is experiencing a period of rapid transition,” says Westerfield. “The ISC’s 16th conference on fraud and counterfeiting in the imaging supplies industry will provide a clear review of the factors driving this transition and map an approach to protecting brands, customers and reputations during this period of rapid change.”

The ISC has chosen beautiful San Diego with easy access to all of its attractions including the magnificent Torrey Pines area. Westerfield says the location, together with the best opportunity to meet the brand protection executives of the major companies gives every reason why industry’s leaders should attend.

The conference will open with a presentation on the pace of technology change, and will conclude with the presentations on the change in the IPR environments in Brazil and the PRC. In between will be presentations on brand protection on the internet including the dark web, social media and case studies involving ISC member companies.

Conference registration is now open and the conference brochure is available at
