New Seizure and Forfeit Order Issued

The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) has issued another seizure and forfeiture order over ink cartridges and components being imported by a company in California.

Straightoutaink was found to be shipping inkjet ink supplies and components that violated Epson’s patents.

The products were denied entry for allegedly violating General Exclusion Order (GEO) No. 337-TA-565, which was based on a complaint filed by Epson Portland, Epson America, and Seiko Epson Corporation of Japan.

This is the seventh seizure and forfeiture order Customs has issued this year and the first based on the violation of GEO 337-565. It’s not the first time either that Straightoutaink has been found to be violating a GEO.
