Canon has released two new Inkjet card printers, a thermal re-transfer ID card printer and a dye and pigment label printer, making it easier than ever for businesses to streamline their workflow, lower outsourcing cost and offer on demand availability.

The inkjet color printers are available in four-inch (CX-G6400) and two-inch (CX-G2400) models with capabilities of printing up to 100 business sized cards per minute and up to 45 credential sized prints per minute to both paper and plastic. The printers have the ability to print high-definition images to 1200 dpi.

To work along side the printer, the IX-R7000 Thermal re-transfer ID card printer allows users the opportunity to encode ID cards offering compatibility with PVC, PET and other materials. With 600 dpi resolution, the printer is able to print small, clear characters and images with the capacity of 145 cards per hour.

Last but not least, the new Inkjet label printers offer a pigment based model (LX-P1300) and two dye printhead models (LX-D5500 and LX-D1300).

President and COO of Canon U.S.A, Yuichi Ishizuka said that it is important for businesses to expand as much in-house in order to help shrink budgets.

“We need to help equip our customers with the tools to help them best capitalize on their office initiatives and this new lineup of printers can do just that,” he added.
